It’s time for Game of Shrooms!! 🍄🔍(Saturday June 13th: Free mushroom-themed art scavenger hunt)

Once upon a time there was a little mushroom. Let’s call her “Amanita”.

Amanita lived in a little thrifted frame, and sat on a shelf, patiently. Her spores sparkled, and her cap was merry.

She had been waiting for a long time, nearly a whole year. Because a year ago is when she learned about Game of Shrooms — a magnificent global game of generousity, creativity and adventure, where all around the world makers make all things fungi and hide them in their town as free gifts, posting clues for finders to find them. Though Amanita didn’t exist in time to participate last year, she was created shortly after, and has been biding her time for the ~365 days until the game began again. And now it is time for Amanita to go into the world. She’s packed, she’s ready, she was born for this.

Rain or shine, this Saturday June 13th, Amanita will be popping up* in Quinte West. Ready for her new friend to find her. This little 8x10” watercolour painting is free to the first person to locate it. She’ll be in a small brown bag, well-labeled for the taking.
