Maker Miscellany
From timber-framed chicken coops through foraging for food and craft. As we practice living and working more in step with the natural world, we share our experiences and knowledge through writing, workshops, and presentations. Because D-I-Why Not?
We publish how-to guides, posts on our various maker experiments, with a special focus on the adventures and critters in our little patch of protected forest.
We paint with wild inks; make buckthorn-handled harvest baskets, woodburn ornaments from upcycled local cherry; needlefelt with local wool roving; grow, preserve and ferment food; learn about tracks, scat and wild critters; and there’s always something we’re building, fermenting, planting or planning.
For short articles about things we’re working on, see our blog. We also have longer form how-to articles and guides.
